Although after 35 years in the US, I am as much American as I am Dutch. I have lived in the desert for about 6 years now and cannot imagine any other place I would enjoy living as much—summers included!
My love affair with pets started as a kid when my dad came home with a German Shepherd. The unique love and protection of a dog is hard to describe, but I imagine you all get it. My last dog, an amazing Chiweenie, passed away 6 years ago and I've been petless since. Luckily, with pet sitting, I still get my fill of animal love—from watching 10 cats at once to managing a pack of 6 Labradors on a mountain farm. Why hire me? I think it is vital to meet your pets wherever they are at. Are they playful? I will happily roll around the floor with them. Are they aloof (looking at you, cats)? I will be the silent admirer who leaves food out and respects their boundaries. The ultimate goal is to make sure your pets feel entirely safe and comfortable so you have zero worries while away.
When staying overnight, I treat your home exactly as if it were mine. I don’t smoke or drink, and I am currently focused on my studies. This means I will be a calm, quiet, and highly reliable presence watching over your space, taking care of your plants, collecting mail, and keeping things tidy. Plus, I provide daily "proof of life" updates with a wink!
